Remedy Packs

Remedy Packs: complete kits for a traditional Pariharam

A Remedy Pack brings together everything needed for one traditional remedy: the items for the offering, the mantra with its meaning, the day and time to begin, and simple step by step instructions. Each pack is matched to a planet or a common need, such as Sade Sati, Mangal Dosha or a Rahu period.

What a pack contains

Every pack has three parts. The first is the material: a lamp and wicks, sesame or ghee, Kumkum, Akshata, a small yantra or Rudraksha where the remedy calls for it, and a cloth of the planet's colour. The second is the practice: the mantra in your script with its meaning and the count to recite. The third is the timing: the weekday and Hora to begin, worked out from the Panchangam for your city.

Packs by planet

Each of the nine planets has its own pack, built around its day, colour, grain and deity. The Saturn pack, for Saturday, uses sesame oil, black cloth and the Shani mantra, with the Hanuman Chalisa as an optional prayer. The Jupiter pack, for Thursday, uses yellow cloth, turmeric and chana dal with the Guru mantra and prayer to Dakshinamurthy. The Rahu pack, for Saturday evening or Rahu Kalam, uses blue cloth and Durga worship.

Packs by need

Some packs follow a common situation rather than a single planet. The Sade Sati pack combines Saturn practices over forty days. The marriage pack, for delays in finding a match, centres on Parvati and Venus. The study pack, for students before exams, centres on Saraswati, Mercury and Hayagriva.

Choosing the right pack

Open your birth chart and the remedy suggestions will name the planet or period that needs care. Choose the pack that matches. If you are unsure, the general Navagraha pack honours all nine planets and suits anyone.

How long a remedy runs

Traditional remedies are kept for a set number of days: eleven, twenty-one, forty or forty-eight, beginning on the planet's weekday. The pack includes a simple tracker so you can mark each day.

A word on balance

A remedy is a discipline of prayer and steadiness, not a promise of a result. Keep it calmly, alongside your own effort, and stop if it ever causes worry rather than peace.

The Sankalpa before you begin

Every remedy starts with a Sankalpa, a short statement of intent. Sitting facing east, you say your name, your Nakshatra and Gotra if your family uses one, the date by the Panchangam, and the purpose of the remedy. The pack gives the words in your language, so the beginning is clear and calm.
